That Thorin Oakenshield is one attractive vertically challenged male. As I have said before, I don’t generally go for short guys, but I will make a definite exception for Thorin. He’s got cool threads. And I love his magnificent mane of dark hair with those fetching silver locks threading through it, that handsome aquiline nose and those mesmerizing blue eyes beneath heavy brows. And that voice– so rich and resonant, so commanding, just like aural chocolate. And he can sing, too!
Thorin is a bit complicated–stubborn and temperamental and a tad arrogant at times–but that has never stopped me from loving Sir Guy, has it? And Thorin is also brave and strong and heroic, willing to go up against nasty dragons with his mighty Orcrist.
And did we mention he’s got the cutest little elfin ears? What’s not to love . . .

What a beautiful forehead Thorin’s got! *sigh* Great artwork, as usual, Angie!
Thank you. Isn’t he beautiful!
But he’s tall compared to the other dwarfs! Oh, this is the longest wait! I can’t believe I’m almost wishing my year away! I know that PJ is racing the clock to get the first movie finished, but I really, really would like to see another update!!
I know what you mean Laurie! I’m usually complaining about how quickly the years are passing by, and the last thing I should be doing at my age is to be wishing time away, but the wait for December is really difficult.
I am typically aghast at how quickly time goes by these days, but I am with you all, I keep wishing December would get here. *sigh*
I know, at this point, I would gladly take anything he’d share. If not a video blog entry, then a few behind-the-scenes stills . . .
He’s the world’s tallest dwarf, isn’t he? The tallest AND most gorgeous dwarf…
The second image from above is breathtaking. Brava!
Thank you so much, Nietzsche. How are you doing since the loss of your dear cat? *hugs*
Nietzsche, did you lose Barbarossa after all? If so, I am so very sorry. I send hugs and wishes for peace, solace, and comfort
She did, Leigh, last night. You and I both know how painful that can be, to lose a long-time and much-loved pet. I’m sure Nietzsche appreciates our good thoughts and wishes.
I’m so sorry too, Nietzsche! Please accept my sincere condolences!
*hugs*
I’m sorry, too! I know how heart breaking that can be ;(
Just glorious! I love what you’ve done here. Like Laurie, I really want to see another update.
I am almost desperate for more images of Richard As Thorin to work with . . . I’m glad you liked.
I love the last pic, it’s beautiful angie!
Thanks. That is my favorite, too. Taking out the background really allows Thorin’s beauty to shine, I think.
Wonderful pictures Angie! Who would have thought that we’d fall hard for a dwarf of all things?
But as has happened with so many of Richard’s “creations” we find ourselves unable to resist!! I have to agree with the others who adore the last picture. Our stunningly beautiful silver Thorin at his regal best!!

I may make Thorin Thursdays a thing on my blog.
Sounds good to me! We Armitage fans can hardly wait to see Thorin on screen in December.
