It takes so little to make people happy–just a touch, if we know how to give it, just a word, fitly spoken, or a slight readjustment of some bolt or pin or bearing in the delicate machinery of the human soul.~ Frank Crane

Alone and without love we die. Life itself is as dependent upon relationships with others as it is on food.~M.N. Beck
Some words of wisdom I found inspirational and which reminded me of a certain fellow we all admire. Not having a particularly good day health-wise. Sort of one of those “somebody took a Louisville slugger and beat the heck out of me” feelings. (A Louisville slugger is a famous brand of baseball bat FYI). Good to see all your comments, though, ladies and may I say keep up the good work.

Great quotes! I particularly like the one by Plato. I copied it to keep. I’m so sorry you are fighting such a tough physical battle. Someone needs to break that bat and throw it into the swamp!
Take care of yourself angie. Rest up. We’ll still be here when you return!
Exactly what should happen to that bat – horrible bloody thing that it is! I sincerely hope you start feeling better soon. Remember we’re all here to back you up.
I love all those quotes, too – especially the one from my favourite poet during high school, William Wordsworth.
Don’t you just adore Richard’s poetry readings? I must go listen to a few again – especially Wordsworth’s “On Westminster Bridge” and Ted Hughes’ “Song”
I’m not a fan of poetry, but I can listen to Richard reading it without any problem!
I could listen to Richard reading the phonebook without any problem!
Look at where Harry’s eyes are looking – her chest rather than her eyes! Cheeky bugger! I know he liked her in those pyjamas but…….naughty boy!
And we love him being naughty…
Yes, he didn’t like missing an opportunity to get her out of them either! I love Harry’s cheeky side!!
I’m so sorry, Angie. Yes, time for a little feline healing, “better living through chemistry”, and a reminder that you matter to us, a great deal. Take care, dear friend, and may this pass quickly.
Then there’s Aldous Huxley: “Be a little kinder.”
Lovely, moving quotes. My favourites are the Plato and the one from Mother Theresa. I’m so sorry you haven’t been feeling well! Sending you healing vibes! *hugs*
