Christmas officially arrives on December 25. But this year, for many of us, it will come on December 14–the date of The Hobbit’s release. Santa Thorin, come on down my chimney–and soon! In the meantime, it looks like Richard should start signing autographs in just over five hours CDT.
I am not sure it’s legal for a dwarf to be so damned–seductive looking.

This link should take you to the official Comic-Con poster that will be sold today. I think it looks fabulous!
Yeah, Gandalf is looking fly.
Wow, you’re up early, Angie dear!
Not that I’m complaining, mind you! Did you get enough sleep? I’m just about to leave for our local multiplex, I’m going to see my first ever film in 3D- Ice Age 4 (with a friend and her 2 children) What has this got to do with Richard? Well, I thought I should get some 3D practice before The Hobbit comes out!
Well, something very rare happened. I fell asleep shortly after 8 p.m. while watching TV with Benny. Fortunately I was already in bed. Didn’t come to until shortly after 4 a.m. Tried to get back to sleep but too much on my mind. Have fun and enjoy getting that 3D practice in. The first 3-D film I had seen in ages was Captain America. Before that, it was the truly horrible Jaws in 3D which gave me a headache for more reasons than one.
So you have already caught a glimpse of 3D Richard! A short glimpse, but still a glimpse!
I’m not sure how many copies of the original English version will be brought into Hungary.. Whether it’ll be available in 2D or only in 3D… Normally, only 1-2 cinemas in Budapest show the original language versions of these blockbusters. I saw LOTR in English at one of those…
Yeah, it went by way too fast, but seeing him up there in glorious 3D was thrilling . . . think of an entire movie filled with Richard as Thorin leaping off the screen at you. As far as I know, our local cinema still isn’t equipped for 3D, but they have been considering, what with so many movies being made with the technology today. It’s a big expense to install the technology. But Montgomery is only an hour away, which is where we saw CA.

Yes, I love it!
Me, too! Glorious!
So, first, there’ll be a signing session of posters and the like and then there will be the panel. at 14.30 local time. Have I got this right?
Correct. However, it looks as if they have saved the best for last and other projects like Pacific Rim and Man of Steel will be first in the WB presentation. Nothing like heightening the anticipation.
So by the time TH panel starts it will be well past midnight in Budapest..Not that it matters because I’m a night owl anyway!
You’ll probably be so keyed up you wouldn’t be able to sleep if you wanted to.
Very true! I’m literally shaking with anticipation!
I love your images here, Fedoralady! Have a gReAt weekend!
Thanks, Grati.
Same to you.
My family has been waiting and waiting for years for the Hobbit to come out! Finally! YaaaaY!!!
It’s been a long time coming, hasn’t it?? It looks like it’s going to be great. Eager to hear from TH panel at Comic-Con.
It felt like forever…even for a baby fan like me!
I saw the movie Avatar is 3D. It was my first time watching a movie in 3D and it really is amazing. It feels almost as if you are right in it. What I did not expect was the slight feeling of dizziness afterwards. No one told me that it could happen, so even though I look forward to seeing The Hobbit a part of me is just a teensy bit apprehensive about the 3D part of it. I may have to watch it without the 3D glasses on or just keep it on for a little while.
It happened to us too! We girls came out of the cinema feeling a bit dizzy, and with a bit of a headache. Her 8 year old boy didn’t have either of those symptoms (maybe it only affects girls?). For me, the 3D took some getting used to, especially when there were very quick movements on the screen (and there were plenty of those!), possibly it didn’t help that I had my “normal” glasses on too.. Anyway all the way through the movie (which was pretty entertaining btw) I kept thinking of The Hobbit and how will Thorin look in 3D??? I personally prefer the 2D but 3D wasn’t nearly as bad as I expected it to be (being a bit of a pessimist..)! Wow the CC autograph session is going to start shortly! I didn’t know Sir Ian was going to be there as well! He seems to be very outgoing and approachable too.
