Oh, Gizzy, you can get away with saying and doing things I would never allow anyone else say or do. Barking those commands. “Beg!” “Talk . . .” “Flog her!” (In Kate’s case, I wouldn’t have minded if that had happened. The girl irritated the hell out of me . . .
)
And of course, the moment in the medieval casino when, in of those “so bad yet so good” moments, you tossed that coin and told Marian in a most insolent manner to “Fetch.”

We seem to allow Sir Guy all kinds of license to do and say the most awful things which in anyone else we would find completely repulsive. He somehow manages to make us love him in spite of everything!
Could the way he looks have anything to do with it or do we just know that underneath all that nastiness beats the heart of a passionate and sensitive guy/Guy who just needs the love of a good woman to bring out the best in him. Any volunteers??
There’d be a few thousand volunteers, I think, Teuchter!
You think?
I know!!
Sir Guy is the exception to the rule. And while I am sure Sir Guy’s beauty and sex appeal play their role, it’s the humanity, the vulnerability, the tenderness, the naivety RA displayed at times in his performance at Guy that really won my heart. Otherwise, he’d just be another sexy, hot bad-boy hunk. Not that that is a bad thing, but Richard made him SOOOO much more. And I think a lot of women would like to help make it all better for our boy.
