(with apologies to Ringo Starr)
You’re Sir Guy, You’re Beautiful and You’re Mine
You walked out of my dreams, and into my life,
Now you’re my dark knight divine
You’re Sir Guy, you’re beautiful, and you’re mine
You’re black leather-clad joy, oh what a boy,
Eyes that smoulder and shine,
You’re Sir Guy, you’re beautiful and you’re mine!
You’re my henchman, you’re so swell
For you, I truly, tru-ly fell
You touched my heart, and “thud” it went
Dark angel, you must be heaven-sent!
Your peaches are dreams, white teeth that gleam
Lips that taste of spiced wine,
You’re Sir Guy, so beautiful, and you’re mine . . .
Mine, all mine, mine, all mine
(well, a girl can dream, right?)

Loved this! I hope you’re feeling better, Angie!
Glad you liked and yes, feeling better.
I hope this is sign you’re feeling better. Love this! (And I bet he does, too *wink, wink*.)
I was feeling an upswing at the time. Later the sharp pain returned. I slept off and on, got up for a while then went back to bed. Feeling better for the time being. Took another Lortab to help keep the edge off. Glad you liked! Oh, yes, our dark knight was delighted. Between this and the buttered pecan, he is quite chuffed.
Actually, Angie, “You’re Sixteen” was sung by Johnny Burnett long before Ringo got his hands on it.
Sorry, I’m not familiar with Johnny Burnett. I only remember the Ringo version. Technically, I suppose I should apologise to Richard and Robert Sherman, who actually penned the tune.
Thanks, KG.
Great lyrics Angie! *sings out loud* (no one else at home
)
I actually did the artwork first and that tune popped into my head so I added the text to the picture–and it went from there.
