Ah it’s always a good day when I open a site and the first thing I’m met with is a picture of Thorin. Having just discovered RA has it’s perks as I have tons of photos, videos, and voice recordings to occupy my spare time. For a gent who is practically unknown across the pond he has done a tremendous amount of very good work, his curriculum vitae would be fascinating to read. Last night I entertained myself by watching “The Great Sperm Race” which he narrated. The Brits are so much more straightforward about sex than we are, but I can’t help wondering if he had a bit of a giggle when he was first reading the script. It is an excellent production, but even if it wasn’t it would have been worth sitting through just to hear RA say, “gourmet sex.”
Yes, it’s not from lack of quality performances OR a display of real versatility that Mr. A isn’t well known here.
I have always wondered if there was a naughty glint in his eye when he agreed to do the TGSR narration, thinking, “Now, won’t the fangurlz have fun with this??” I can see him sitting at home, sipping a glass of wine and having a right old chuckle during a read-through.
I have wondered similarly, suspecting he knew perfectly well the female audience didn;’care about “Glen” or his genetic material one bit. Richard knows that we’re a naughty-minded bunch where he’s concerned.
Thanks for the tip on TGSR on YouTube. It was grat, especially the narration, which I pain careful attention to. Are there other TV specials that RA has nRrated on YouTube?
I especially like your last picture of Rich, in warm colors, shy smile, profile, being interviewed. This picture, with your enhancement, reminds me of some young men I see more and more of these days, who are holding, caressing, bouncing, smiling at, lovingly caring for infant children in public. No matter what they look like, I find these guys incredibly sexy. In your picture, I can see Rich bouncing a baby on his knee, googeling and grinning and making funny faces. At such a sight, I really would not be able to contain myself! His CBeebies pictures and narrations are the best!
I hope to see your poster at my neighborhood theater soon!
I wanted to take the colors of the set, intensify and make it playful and fun, just as RA has his playful, fun side. It’s lovely to see a young dad (or uncle) interacting lovingly with a child. I have this fantasy about Harry Kennedy pushing their twins around the village in a double pram with this huge proud grin on his face, stopping and talking with the villagers as they admire the little boy and girl (dark-haired and blue-eyed). And then singing a lullaby to them at bedtime . . . *sigh*
What is it they say about great minds? In my story “Lucas and Madelaine”, I gave them fraternal twins, a boy and a girl with his blue eyes and her auburn hair.
That’s right!! I envision a little girl with a cute little bob like Gerri, and a boy with floppy fringe like Harry, and both with big blue eyes. The girl has Gerri’s nose and the boy, Harry’s.
Thorin is fantastic, his eyes are proud and brave, I like the light that surrounds his face, it makes me feel proud of him.. and I also like the fourth one in black and white (or seppia?), so different and opposite.
It gives me a sense of fragility. I envy his finger on the lips!
I do not know yet The Great Sperm Race, I must watching
I love that particular photo of Thorin dearly and you will see many variations on it pop up here. The B&W is one of my favorites. A different from many of his other stills.

and I highly doubt that bothers him one bit
. I remember reading somewhere that a little naughtiness is a desired criteria in a woman. *sigh*
Oh, yes, he likes a woman with a naughty side. And I like a man who likes a woman with a naughty side.
naughty?….hmmm…I dont greet one of my neighbours…so…;)
I am sure he knows it, too. Bless him1
Damn right I couldn’t care less about Glen’s genetic material, but I do care about Richard’s!
I think we all care about Richard’s genetic material. *giggle*

yes, on YT there are ” Natural World, Forest Elephants Rumbles In The Jungle [2010]” and “Elsa: The Lioness That Changed The World (BBC)”.
Both Elsa and Forest Elephants are fantastic of course and then there’s also The Lost Land of the Tigers! Highly recommended.
He does an excellent job with all his narrations.

It’s on YouTube in English in short pieces, numbered sequentially.
Thanks, I found it, I’ll put it on the list of things to watch, only for his marvelous voice

You know exactly what you’re doing to us with these pics, don’t you? Three helpings and I’ll still be back for more!
LOL I will try to put together another one before I start my marathon of TV watching–Call the Midwife, Upstairs, Downstairs, Copper, Dexter, Homeland.
Btw, I think I want THAT Thorin pic on my Thorin mug! If you don’t mind, Angie?
I don’t mind at all, my dear.
