I think that will be the final serving for the day . . . I am now watching my slew of Sunday night shows as my big blonde hair dries. I really, really hope to get to sleep before tomorrow morning.
Love the pictures of Guy, Thornton, Porter, RA young and older, love them all! When I found NS for the first time, I thought that actor was interesting, but in serious need of a nose job. How wrong can one be?
These shows, dexter, Homeland, etc…do they have comercials? Can’t folerate them. Gotta go. MI-5 is on MD public tv in 5 min.
Only Copper on BBCA. Everything else is on Showtime (Dexter, Homeland) or PBS. And I ended up watching the second installment of their show about Broadway and the American musical.
I love the DVR–I have decided to DVR a couple of things tonight as I am really starting to lose focus and the pain is increasing. That way I can watch Copper tomorrow and FF through the commercials. LOL That nose grows on you Now I look at actors with smaller noses and give a Guy-like sniff of disdain. They don’t have the wonderful distinctive character that RA’s nose has! LOL
I, too, love his profile, including his nose. I printed a picture of Richard in profile as John Thornton, then traced it to create a silhouette, which I cut out of black paper and glued to a sheet of cream water-colour paper. I am still looking for the right oval frame. When it’s framed, I’ll hang it on the wall. Let my friends guess who it is. heh-heh
a black silhouette in an oval frame, great idea, so romantic, like she did miss Matty (Judi Dench) in the series BBC Cranford. And do you think that your friends will recognize him?
Here in Andalucia, it’s not too likely. Some people have cable TV so they can get BBC and Sky1, or they subscribe to “proxy servers” to pull in streaming video. These are mostly expats, of whom I know very few. My Scottish friend who teaches writing may recognize him, but my Spanish friends will likely be puzzled. If I were in the U.S., a few of my friends might guess correctly.
In Italy too is not very popular, except for Robin Hood Series and Strike Back (on sky). I watched North and South on YT, The Vicar and The Impressionists on DVD, with subtitles (otherwise I could not understand everything). What suffering did not totally understand him! I think that also my friends may be puzzled…. after The Hobbit we will see!
That’s a wonderful idea, Leigh! He’s got the most glorious profile, ever! Thank God he never messed with that beautiful regal nose, how anybody can dislike it is a mystery to me, but there you go.
My sentiments exactly Judit! I have never understood why anyone feels the need to criticize his nose as to me it is an essential part of his beauty and it wouldn’t be “him” if it was changed.
It works for him. It works with his face, his bone structure. It’s part of his distinctive, non cookie-cutter type of masculine beauty. Long live the nose!
I need another platter… You just keep serving up the yum.

Just give me one of those big ol’ serving dishes – there is soooo much to enjoy here too.
I do hope you have really good night Angie! You deserve it after giving is all these treats.
I have to just try to turn off my brain and let my body relax once all my TV viewing is over.
“us all the treat.” I think my brain already left the building!
Obviously my brain is in worse shape than I thought!
“us all THESE treats”!!! Can’t even use alcohol as an excuse as I didn’t have a drop!
Teuchter, I rarely ever drink and I still manage to sound and move like I am all too often. My three-legged cat and I have certain things in common.

my eyes are really grateful to you for this delightful entertainment! I love the profile of Richard, including nose.

I think he will be better known all over the world once The Hobbit hits the screen.

Yes, long live Richard and all his perfect ‘imperfections’!!
Amen, sister, preach it!!
YAY for the non-cookie-cutter type of masculine beauty! I never was attracted to the cookie-cutter type anyway!
Me, neither.
That’s a lovely idea, Leigh.
And I thank you and your eyes for your kind words.
He has a magnificent profile.
I will always bet on this particular Englishman. Always.:)
Me, too. I have total faith in him.
