More proof nobody rocks the leather like RA & ChaRActers . . .

Porter--Katie's hero and ours in black leather.

In a continuation of our study of leather and RA (and how he and his chaRActers wear it better than anybody else), I bring you some more photos of RA and his alter egos in leather to compare with lesser mortals. Lucas, Porter, Guy, Ricky and Mr. A–we love you all in leather. Enjoy!

Sir Guy, baby, show 'em how the head-to-toe leather is done.

I think these folks are imitating our Luscious One . . . in their "cruel black"

Model in Belstaff--a pretty boy, but Lucas would have rocked it better.

Sorry, Vin. But nobody does it better than Richard.

Lucas captivates as a courier in black leather--you can deliver to me anytime!

  1. Oh my gosh!! Isn’t he gorgeous!!! I think he wears leather better than anyone I have ever seen and even though I loved Harry Kennedy’s brown jacket there is something about him in black that is rather special!! I think the John Porter one he is wearing when he visits Katie in hospital is the same one he is wearing as he is getting into the car there. Couldn’t help but notice how beautiful his hand is in that shot too! šŸ™‚ I think it was too cute that they put him in head to toe black leather to impersonate a courier in that Spooks scene. Rather gratuitous I know when almost anyone could have done the job but I’m certainly not complaining!! šŸ˜€ Shades of Guy there for sure!!

I hope you are doing better Angie and getting some much needed ZEEE’S!!

    • His hand is utterly beautiful in that particular shot, Teuchter. šŸ˜€ And this shot is particularly appealing to me because I am acquainted with the person who gave him that card. šŸ˜‰

She got to meet him, get an autograph on one of her RA DVDs and a photo with him. In her state of perfectly understood excitement, she almost forgot to give him the card, which featured a few heartfelt words of appreciation for his work. As RA started walking back to his car, she called out and he stopped and came back to get the card. He opened it up and read it, then he gave her a smile. *thud* *swoon* She said he was gorgeous and sweet and had very long legs.

As for Lucas as courier, sure, anyone else could have done it–but you know they weren’t going to miss out on the chance to get RA “back in black.” šŸ˜‰ I also loved the whole pulling off his glove with his teeth homage to Guy. šŸ˜‰

My sleep has been somewhat better. I actually got out this afternoon while it was warm and not raining for a change and walked around a bit with Benny and playeda little with the dogs.:D

      • I’m glad you’ve been sleeping better, Angie! Thank you for sharing the little background story about the card! šŸ™‚ How lucky your friend is to have met him in person and kudos to her for actually managing to have a conversation with him, I’m sure I would not have been able to utter a single word in her place! šŸ™‚

        • Thanks. šŸ˜€ She said when it came time to pose for the photo, she was a little hesitant at first. He tugged her closer to him, which of course thrilled her. Shy but friendly and approachable is how she described him.

      • Adding my thanks to Judit’s for sharing the story about the card. That’s the next best thing to meeting him myself…reading about the wonderful experiences that some very lucky people have had, and that he really is gorgeous and sweet.
Glad you’ve been able to get some rest Angie. šŸ™‚

        • Thank you, Mezz. And I agree–hearing these stories always reinforces the good impression he has made on me and it makes me really happy and excited for the fans who have these opportunities. šŸ˜€

  2. I would say the Belstaff collection is designed for real man and Richard emphasizes this simple fact thanks to his natural masculinity. I am thrilled to know our beloved TV and movie star wears Italian (Belstaff’s design and manufacturing) when in a jacket.

I confess I would die to own a Tiger Lady Jacket myself! Belstaff jackets are gorgeous!

    • No, there is nothing effeminate about the lovely RA in leather–not even with long hair and eyeliner. It just emphasizes his masculine beauty. Remember the costume designer said she imagined Guy dressed like an Italian racing car driver? šŸ˜‰ So how suitable for the real man behind the characters to wear fine Italian leather?

My husband has a gorgeous black leather jacket his boss was going to give away to Goodwill–he’d hardly worn it!–and Benny said, “Whooa, there–I’ll take it.” It’s not a Belstaff, but it is, like everything else Charles owns, very expensive and luxurious. The leather is so buttery soft . . . *sigh*

      • Well, you have got you man in jacket, as well as me.
My eldest son received a vintage (= used like new) Belstaff Trialmaster jacket last year. I cannot wait to see him wearing it as soon as the Winter ends, because I noticed he starts to fill it in perfectly!

What an amazing view he is. He is growing up! And how this simple clothing evokes another kind of beauty, more ….masculine. I told my son a lot of celebrities wear Belstaff: Clooney, Smith, Pitt, Cruise…I forgot to mention the most dashing is a certain Brit actor he knows very well. LOL!

I’m very happy to know you had a stroll outside. It is the first one after a long time, isn’t it?
Take care and enjoy the merciful weather.

        • Yes, it was the first stroll in quite a while. I had been out very briefly, but our weather has not been conducive lately. Looks like more rain and thunderstorms moving into the area in the morning, and then a big drop in temperatures, which makes the FMS go haywire. Oh, well.

I love that jacket on Benny. It looks great on him (much better than on his boss LOL) and the leather feels wonderful.:D

          • I’m glad to hear that you’re feeling well enough to get out for a little. Thanks for the yum-worthy photos of Richard in leather. Indeed nobody rocks it the way he does. And he is so kind and generous with fans; just makes me cherish him more.

I’m glad Benny got that jacket. How lovely you have such a treat in that man!
