Because sometimes you just need a major helping of cute & adorable RA

About fedoralady

I'm an LA native--Lower Alabama, that is. My husband of more than 30 years and I live here on a portion of my family's former farm with two gorgeous calicos and a handsome GSD mix. My background is art education, and over the years I've been a teacher, department store photographer, sales associate and a journalist. My husband, his business partner and I have Pecan Ridge Productions, a video production company, for which I shoot & edit video and stills and manage marketing. I also still write part-time for the local paper. I love movies, music, art, photography and books, and my tastes in all of them are eclectic.

  1. So true!! I find myself with just such a need now and then and have to go and watch them all. I’m sure there was many a Mom who found herself glued to the screen as much by the story-teller as her child or children were to the stories!! He has such a talent for accents! I hope he will have a little one of his own one day to read stories to. I’m positive he’d be a fantastic Dad!

  2. How can you not fall in love with this guy? He looked as if he had so much fun performing these stories and this sense of enjoyment really came across. I hope he never loses touch with his inner little boy! 🙂

    • That’s one of the things that is so endearing about him–this sense he is having a wonderful time performing the stories, taking a positively child-like delight in the activity. His pleasure in being a storyteller only increases ours as the audience. And I think it’s important to us all not to lose touch with the sense of wonder and enthusiasm and the magical qualities of life we know as chldren. 😀

      • Oh yes, I love the sexy, smouldering looks (and that one is definitely for the mothers watching!) but whenever a pic captures him at a goofy moment, I go to mush. He makes me grin, he’s truly cute and adorable then.
The appeal of the CBeebies to me is that I think we see Richard quite close to being his natural self, more so even than in interviews where he is usually “selling” a show and is at the mercy of an interviewer who asks inane questions.

  3. He’s so wonderful at storytelling. He can come read to my class any day!! I wish the youtube recordings of these stories were clearer! Does anyone know were I can see clean copies?

    • Yes, the YT recordings are not very good quality and what REALLY annoys me is that all the other CBeebies stories read by Toby Stephens, RPJ, etc. etc. are in MUCH better quality! Why?? So unfair! I downloaded the Richard’s stories from RANet (I think), those are better quality videos than the ones on YT, but still not as clear as I would like them to be! 😦

  4. The comments to RA’s cbeebies vids on YT are really funny… I lost count of how many ladies volunteered to have his babies! 🙂

    • I am sure that would form a very long line, too–the women volunteering to have his babies for him. 😉 I am out of the running for that, but i would be thrilled to babysit his little ones. 😀
