Here are some more album covers which, like Michael “Puffy hair and gold chains” Bolton’s, are considered among some of the worst ever created.
Some of these artists were familiar to me, and some were not. But in every case, the artwork certainly caught my eye.

But I do have the Magical Mystery Tour!! I’ve always loved The Beatles music! Great songs, but a little too many drugs!! I could only watch the “movie” once…very weird!
Oh, I love the Beatles, too. I did think of putting their original cover for Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow here but it was a little too gruesome (the boys in doctor’s coats holding dismembered baby dolls covered in fake blood. It was pulled shortly after release) And there was John and Yoko’s album where they appeared naked front and back. I left that one out for obvious reasons. 😉 I was looking at the MMT cover and thinking how I knew all those songs . . . yes, wonderful talent there but a little too many illegal substances.
Oh my goodness gracious me, that’s a difficult choice, I would probably vote for Naomi Campbell’s cover as the worst, since I truly dislike the woman.She seems like a nasty, nasty piece of work! Didn’t even know she released an album? 2nd would be Prince. Is he homosexual? He’s definitely narcissistic. Love the Beatles and in their defence, everybody in the music industry was on drugs at the time so they weren’t any worse than the rest of them. It probably inspired them to write better music (not that I condone taking drugs, don’t get me wrong!)
Naomi is a spoiled brat. Prince? I think he loves Prince more than anybody else, but he seems sort of omnisexual. It wasn’t just in the 60s that a lot of creative people were under the unfluence. I think Coleridge wrote Rime of the Ancient Mariner while on opium.
Poe was an addict, as well. Baudelaire was also reputed to have indulged and lured his lover Verlaine into trying the stuff. Sometimes, I think that creative people can succumb to depression and attempt to self-medicate, with mixed results.
Yeah drugs are nothing new really, they were doing drugs, these artist types through the centuries, and they all had syphilis and the like too… You know I wonder, how on Earth did someone like Keith Richards stay alive? I think when he dies his body should be donated to scientific research, so that they can work out what antibodies or whatever he produced to withstand the effects of industrial drugtaking and severe alcoholism! 🙂
I have speculated Keith has pickled his innards over the years thus preserving them and keeping him alive. 😉
