I love a man in uniform . . . and out of it.

Before there was Sergeant Porter, there was Captain Mcalwain, showing us how good Mr. A could look in nifty berets, olive drab and camo. Not to mention ruggers gear. And–oh yeah. A towel and bare damp skin, still glistening from the shower. *sigh*

About fedoralady

I'm an LA native--Lower Alabama, that is. My husband of more than 30 years and I live here on a portion of my family's former farm with two gorgeous calicos and a handsome GSD mix. My background is art education, and over the years I've been a teacher, department store photographer, sales associate and a journalist. My husband, his business partner and I have Pecan Ridge Productions, a video production company, for which I shoot & edit video and stills and manage marketing. I also still write part-time for the local paper. I love movies, music, art, photography and books, and my tastes in all of them are eclectic.

  1. Oh, ladies, you crack me up

But I have to admit to loving Richard’s nicely rounded bum. covered or not! That gorgeous bare chest takes my breath away, too, as do the long long legs! Oh, hell, he’s just beautiful from top to toe!

    • He has an extremely nice bum, indeed. I think of Between the Sheets and that lucky cow Alona getting to massage those peaches. *thud* I love those ruggers shots because you can see the lovely long legs in action. I saved a couple of screencaps to post later where the thighs are–simply superb. *sigh*

  2. I fast forwarded my way through Ultimate Force only stopping to watch Richard’s scenes, and I can’t for the life of me see why the Henno (?) guy murdered him. OK, so he had one quickie with Pete’s wife (who practically jumped his bones!) but since when do you deserve to be killed for committing adultery? And then why not kill the wife too? Grrrrrrr….

    • My thoughts exactly, Judit. I have never quite “got it” either. Did all the other guys just cover up Henno’s actions without giving it a thought?

And as for putting him in the freezer and then casually taking out a drink……….what was that all about? Heartless. crass male-bonding because they couldn’t cope with an officer who expected them to salute him???????

      • That was (no pun intended) sooooo COLD. What a bunch of p***ks. That’s it, they couldn’t deal with not being able to do whatever the hell they wanted to without repercussions, so they decided to get rid of the “problem.” After that, I wanted a large bomb to drop on them-just them, mind you–and blow them all to smithereens.

      • WHY on Earth did they have to put his body in the freezer? Oh dear God. So pointless. If the officers are like this who needs terrorists, right? I don’t get Ross Kemp’s “appeal” either. Urgh…

    • You DON’T do something like that if you are a well-adjusted, sane human being. That was cold-blooded murder because he didn’t “fit in” with the other lads and their lax ways of doing things and had an affair with Looney Pete’s wife. So he had to be taught a “lesson.” The irony of it all is, I’ve been told in the very next series of the show, Looney Pete gets killed in the first or second episode. Making Ian’s death all the more needless.

I would never want someone like Henno to be protecting me. I’d be more scared of him than the terrorists. And yeah, Pete’s wife wasn’t exactly seduced, she threw herself at him. And for the life of me, I don’t understand the attraction of Ross Kemp (Henno). Apparently some women find him very hot and sexy. No accounting for tastes . . .

      • When I watched “Ultimate Force” (only series 2 with RA in it) almost a year ago, I didn’t know much about the content and the story. That unexspected coldblooded killing of Ian left me totally devastated and shivering for quite a while. I was so heavily upset, I can’t remember ever being in such an uproar before (related to a TV serie). That was an extremely nasty turn in the plot and all of Ian’s fellows/comrades acted undescribable insidious.Though perhaps it’s just me not being used to that kind of film genre…..

  3. How does he manage to look that divine in that shabby-looking jumper thingy (top pic) is beyond me (his Porter uniform was much, much neater!!!) 🙂

      • Right there with you! I was thinking how great he would look in the Black Watch uniform, in a kilt that, although it his those magnificent thighs, would show off those lovely calves and ankles. And of course, we want tradition: “commando” underneath the kilt. *naughty giggle* Just me and my holographic paperdolls again.

What was done to Ian was brutal and disgusting, but no more so than the “fragging” of American officers that occurred in Vietnam, when hand grenades would be rolled under the officer’s cot or bunk, killing the man as he slept. Often, the officer would have done nothing more than try to stop drug trafficking, rape, theft, or black-marketeering. Of course, the killings were attributed to “Charlie” and the murderers were not charged. Shameful…
