A Hobbit Hullabaloo: TAE Word for the Day

Standard

T

The word for the day is hullabaloo. (noun, informal)  (1) A lot of excitement, talk and planning about an event. (2) A lot of noise made by angry or excited people.

Without a doubt, many of us who are Tolkien/Armitage fans are pretty much waiting with bated breath until we can see our Richard in 3D on the big screen in all his Thorin Glory. As the day draws closer, the hullabaloo surrounding the premiere will only grow. And the first time we see Richard on that giant screen? The collective “squee” will surely sound like a massive hullabaloo heard around the world.

About fedoralady

I'm an LA native--Lower Alabama, that is. My husband of more than 30 years and I live here on a portion of my family's former farm with two gorgeous calicos and a handsome GSD mix. My background is art education, and over the years I've been a teacher, department store photographer, sales associate and a journalist. My husband, his business partner and I have Pecan Ridge Productions, a video production company, for which I shoot & edit video and stills and manage marketing. I also still write part-time for the local paper. I love movies, music, art, photography and books, and my tastes in all of them are eclectic.

  1. There’s been a lot of Hullabaloo around this house ever since I read that our boy was going to play the King Under the Mountain. When I read it I screamed, laughed and began to cry!!! WooHoo, Richard is going to be the hottest, sexist dwarf ever!!!!!

    • I don’t think many of us could be more excited and happy for Richard getting Thorin than we would have for a close friend or family member. It’s wonderful to see our darling RA living his dreams and to know he is coming to the BIG SCREEN! He will indeed be the hottest, sexiest, most regal and beautiful dwarf ever!!
