Don’t know what’s up with WordPress . . .

Standard

But it’s not letting me insert photos into the post. And I had such a dandy sequence of the ever-expressive Sir Guy. I will give you a hint. Black leather. Teeth.

Since that function is not working, I will leave you with a couple of videos that honor the smirking, snarling, sexy, brooding and beautiful henchman you can’t help but love–Sir Guy. Because he just does something to us–and for us. There are so many things to appreciate about Guy.

About fedoralady

I'm an LA native--Lower Alabama, that is. My husband of more than 30 years and I live here on a portion of my family's former farm with two gorgeous calicos and a handsome GSD mix. My background is art education, and over the years I've been a teacher, department store photographer, sales associate and a journalist. My husband, his business partner and I have Pecan Ridge Productions, a video production company, for which I shoot & edit video and stills and manage marketing. I also still write part-time for the local paper. I love movies, music, art, photography and books, and my tastes in all of them are eclectic.

  1. Angie, it’s presumably not only you having problems with wordpress. I can read this post properly. But then the “Ever Expressive Guy: Oh bother!” starts shifting and the background pictures are coming somehow in the foreground and it’s hardly possible to read any of your written texts (or the comments)……… I’m imagining you, sitting in front of your PC, with your hair standing on end…… 😕
Good luck, and take it slow!

    • That one post was screwed up and then everything else I posted yesterday was fine. Why something went wrong with it, I do not know. Then today I discovered the problem with posting photos. And I can’t figure out WHY.
Speaking of hair, mine has grown so long (long for me) since I lost my job I find myself constantly fiddlling with it. I have been wrapping locks of it around my fingers whilst trying to figure out what’s up with WP! Unfortunately it doesn’t help! LOL

  2. Sorry you’re having problems. Last week I was unable to post videos the usual way. Luckily Darkjackal suggest another way. It works wonderfully, but still.
I found the advice on wordpress blogs utterly useless. When someone tells me to start fiddling with codes and such, I know I’m in way over my head. Sometimes when you add something new to your blog it can interfere with the functioning of the rest of your stuff and they suggest removing your widgets, but I didn’t attempt that.
I hope it’s a temporary thing because I know how utterly frustrating it can be 😦

    • I started a couple of days ago having trouble with not being able to edit my posts at the post’s page–I had to go through the dashboard to do anyrhing. Also, it wouldn’t let me preview my posts. I had to publish and then if I saw a problem, go in and edit afterwards. The only thing I have changed was the fonts. Maybe I should try removing the widgets. I do not want to get into the hassle of dealing with codes, as that is over my head, too.

Yep, it is frustrating. Especially with F3 coming up. : (

      • That is a major bummer. Have you googled the wordpress forums to see what other say? Perhaps just write a post there and give your blog name and someone can help. They sometimes give you advice about those code thingy rubbish like I would have any idea where to put it. Try the widgets and see what happens.

        • well, I looked around a bit and didn’t really find an answer, and then I decided to go back and pull the screencaps from my computer rather than the gallery I set up last night. This time, the photos loaded with no problem. ?? Still can’t preview posts, etc. but I can work around that.

  3. I’m having the same problems as Linda, plus the text has changed and become a little more difficult to read. A capital H looks like II. It’s only when I zoom in to 200% that the text becomes clear. It’s not stopping me reading your posts though! 😉

    • ..a capital “aitch” looks like two capital “i’s.” I don’t know if it’s just my laptop or not. If it is, I’ve obviously pressed a key I shouldn’t have. 😦

    • Thanks for the feedback, ladies. I am going to go in and tinker with the fonts again. I don’t know if that is causing some of the other problems, but we will see. My whole reason for changing them was to make it easier to read, not harder!! You’re looking at a woman who sometimes puts reading glasses at the end of her nose while wearing her bifocals. Yep, I don’t have the sharpest vision. And thanks for continuing to read! 😀
