I look at beautiful spring flowers and I smile. Every time I look at Harry Kennedy I can’t help smiling. And every time I think of the fact Richard said his real personality is most like Harry’s, well–I start feeling positively ooey-gooey inside.
Because bookish, sweet, sunny, funny, sexy Harry is a darling, and he reminds me of my own dear fella. How can you NOT love Harry? The vicar certainly can’t. Lucky, lucky lady to win this Handsome Stranger’s beautiful heart!
Some VoD vids to celebrate their love, and some screencaps of Harry, surely a lad who believes in nourish and nurture, too, and Mr. A himself having a very good time of it on the VoD set. We really need a few more light-hearted roles along the way, Mr. A. Because you CAN do funny, on top of being a great kisser, a charmer and, well–everything else. *sigh* And how nice for you to get to laugh out loud as you obviously love to do . . .
Darling, sweet Harry was my first chaRActer love, and he never fails to make me feel happy and weak at the knees when I see him onscreen or in a still. Underneath that conservative, bookish accountant’s appearance is a sexy, cheeky man who wants kisses “with tongues” and (in second VoD pic) loves the chance to get Geraldine’s red floral pyjamas, his favourites, off her. *fans herself*
Harry was my first chaRActer love too…Sure as hell it was love at first sight! π I think I know the script of the two episodes he was in by heart (at least of the scenes he was in..hehe) I must have watched them a billion times…
It’s got to be a good mood-lifter, those two eps. Like a dose of antidepressants with no unpleasant side effects. π
Judit, I’ve lost count of the times I’ve watched those episodes, I reckon I would know the dialogue off by heart as well! And it was love at second sight for me!! π
Guy was my first, as you all know, but I then obtained Sparkhouse, Vicar of Dibley and North & South from Amazon and watched them all in a short amount of time. You know how it is. π After seeing the trials and tribulations of Guy, Thornton and Standring, all beautifully performed, of course, but what a breath of fresh air to see sunny Harry and all those gorgeous grins–and a happy ending with a woman who obviously appreciates and adores him. π And Richard really looked like he had such a good time playing the role, too. Harry reminds of the saying “Still waters run deep.” Bookish and perhaps a bit shy on the surface, yet underneath possessing a delightfully naughty side and an ability to be very passionate, methinks. *sigh, thud, swoon*
It’s always an absolute joy watching Richard in the dvd extra, laughing with the others, and obviously having such fun being a part of it all.
Oh, how I wish there was a sequel. It wouldn’t take long, and Richard finishes up on TH mid year, plus the Dibley set is in storage. Surely they wouldn’t have kept it if there was no chance of it ever being used again.
I so wish there was a sequel (and RA said he’d love it too), but Richard Curtis said in the Behind the Scenes vid that by marrying Dawn off, they “closed the door on the future”… Yet, as you said Mezz, they had kept the set… So..there is still hope, I suppose! Btw, I saw a photo of Dawn some weeks ago, and she looked absolutely gorgeous! She’s lost a lot of weight but somehow it didn’t age her face, as is often the case when somebody loses so much weight. She was glowing with happiness! Lovely woman! π
Yes, I saw that photo too Judit, and I agree, she looked gorgeous, glowing. I always thought she had a lovely face, and luckily the weight loss hasn’t affected it.
I saw a recent photo of Dawn also and she looks great. π That’s one of my big fears about losing too much weight at this time in my life . . . I have this fear my face will collapse and/or I will suddenly have wrinkles where I have very few now. π Oh, vanity!
I think “never say never” . . . as long as the set is still there and the principals are interested and willing to do the project, there is always hope. π
“Harry reminds of the saying βStill waters run deep.β Bookish and perhaps a bit shy on the surface, yet underneath possessing a delightfully naughty side and an ability to be very passionate, methinks.” And if Harry is truly the character Richard feels is closest to himself… OMG, want. now.
π It is an awfully appealing notion, isn’t it? Benny reminds me of Harry in certain ways, and my hubby is the “still waters run deep” kind of guy. You always have to watch out for the quiet ones . . . π
Thanks for the “sunshine”! It’s the only sunshine I’ve seen all weekend! We’ve had so much rain my side yard is flooded! No yard work again! Oh well, I’ll just buoy my spirits by doing some more Richarding!
We had that kind of soggy day not too long ago. RA and Harry are certainly a welcome sight on a gloomy, rainy day in particular. π
Oh Harry is such a sweetie what I wouldn’t give to meet a Harry. Sigh!!!
