I beg to differ.

Us published a photo online of Robert Pattinson of Twilight fame having fun in the sun in Malibu. Beneath it they asked the question:

Is there anything as sexy as a half-naked Robert Pattinson?

To which I can only respond with a resounding YESSSSSS!!!!!  Please see evidence below.

I could provide many, many, many more examples . . . but I think I’ve proven my point. Sorry, RPatz, I know legions of Twihards love you, but  “Cute Boy” versus “Gorgeous Man” . . .  there’s no contest.

About fedoralady

I'm an LA native--Lower Alabama, that is. My husband of more than 30 years and I live here on a portion of my family's former farm with two gorgeous calicos and a handsome GSD mix. My background is art education, and over the years I've been a teacher, department store photographer, sales associate and a journalist. My husband, his business partner and I have Pecan Ridge Productions, a video production company, for which I shoot & edit video and stills and manage marketing. I also still write part-time for the local paper. I love movies, music, art, photography and books, and my tastes in all of them are eclectic.

  1. Oh dear God, no. Please. Sorry, but I don’t think RP can even be called cute! For me, Henry Cavill is cute. Aidan Turner is cute. But RP??? He is downright weird looking! Look at that oddly shaped head! No no no…Doesn’t do anything for me at all.

    • I have to confess when I first started seeing photos of RPatz I was bumfuzzled at all the fuss over how hot and sexy and beautiful he was supposed to be. His head does have an odd shape, his eyes are smallish, his nose is too small (I now find men with small noses oddly lacking)–in some photos he just looks–yeah, odd. And as Edward with the lipstick and the white makeup he just looked effeminate. Of course, I have to confess I couldn’t understand Bella’s allure for him–Kristen Stewart is a cute girl and a decent actress in the other things I have seen her in, but my gosh, what an absolute drip she is in the Twilight films. All the blinking and mouth hanging open and biting of her lip.

  2. Some people have some seriously strange tastes for what is sexy. Yes Nadia, there’s NO contest!!

  3. Even if I were half my age, I still wouldn’t see RPatz’s appeal. He’s in the same mould as Jonas Armstrong…boyish. Richard is a sexy, gorgeous MAN.

    • In total agreement with you, Mezz!! Richard is undoubtedly a MAN and a beautiful one at that!! RP does absolutely NOTHING for me!

    • I am the same, Mezz. There has always been a certain type of man I’ve been attracted to appearance-wise, and RP just doesn’t do it for me now, nor would he have when I was a teen or young woman. I never particularly cared for the “pretty boy” pinups back in the day.

      • I’m right there with you. RP seems like the definition of “greasy kid stuff” — gimme a MAN, please and thank you. (And you know which one I want…)

    • Dearest Laurie,

THANK YOU for this link!! I have been away from the computer for a while getting some much-needed sleep. 😉 To open my email to see all your comments and then to discover this wonderful new article about TH with RA at the top of the list as the one to gain the most from his role . . . simply marvelous! My poor stomach has been doing flip=flops like mad and I can feel that silly grin on my face. If I didn’t have such trouble with the bloody tailbone I would be tempted to leap up and down on the bed and scream. I think my hubby would decide I was barking mad. LOL

        • Did you read this comment !!!!!! Pfffff

Richard Armitage will only benefit if he is visible. He seems to like to hide. That being said, I don’t think this movie will do much for his career if he just sits back and waits for things to fall in his lap. He’s gonna lose fans not make them if he continues this way.

          • Sounds like a troll to me. Maybe an Orc. 😉 The absolute nerve to suggest Richard Armitage would EVER “sit back and wait for things to fall in his lap . . .” He’s worked hard for a long, long time.

He is a private person. As is Viggo Mortenson, who was Aragorn in LOTR. Who has gone on to do just fine in his career, it seems to me. I can’t say what I really think about this individual without being somewhat obscene, but I think you all what’s going on in my head.

            • I’m over sensitive when someone talks bad about him. I bet she doesn’t know anything about him. J’ai des envies de meurtre !!!!

              • I completely understand that feeling. My hackles rise when I read or hear something like that. I thought the commenter was a guy, actually. One very likely possessing a bad case of Male Pattern Jealousy. There’s a lot of that going around. 😉

          • I too read that comment and it made me spitting mad!! I know I am WAY too sensitive when it comes to what people say or think about Richard, but whoever wrote this obviously knows little or nothing about him!! I really need to learn to ignore such twaddle!!

  4. Oh, my heart started pounding when this alert dropped into my email inbox… a new article about Richard! Only a small paragraph, granted, but it says so much!! And he’s at the top of the list. Thankyou Laurie!! 😀

  5. Oooops, missed the last, VERY important bit, about Richard being the ultimate winner, because I got over-excited! My stomach is doing flip-flops here!

      • I’ve spent the last hour or so telling myself I am a MATURE, SENSIBLE woman, and trying to keep a lid on my excitement, but it ain’t workin’!! Like Teuchter, I think I was shaking with the emotion.
I’m so proud of him I could burst! I have been putting my plan of action together in my head for when I see the movie, meds may have to be included LOL!!! At the very least, lots of tissues or a humungous handkerchief! 😀

        • I am with you every step of the way. It is like I am holding my breath waiting for all the adulation to flow his way. I am so sure he will embody Thorin and show his spectacular acting skills. It can’t come early enough. lol

        • I’m beginning to think I might have to take an Ativan before I go see it if this is the reaction I have just reading the article!! 😀 I’ll just have to hope that my heart and blood pressure can take it!! Lol!! 🙂

      • I am seriously beginning to wonder if I am going to be able to contain my excitement when the movie arrives. Remember the Mania post about the crazy Beatles fans? Feelin’ more and more like that deep inside. I may either implode or explode. 😉

        • I’m right with ya on that score!!! I don’t know what kind of reaction I’ll have to seeing Richard on the big screen, especially after this long drought without him in anything new! The build up to this movie is making me a little crazy!

          • I have this horrible feeling my IBS–which can be flared up in times of stress and excitement–will go haywire before I see the movie. Ridiculous, perhaps, but that’s the truth.

  6. I am so happy with this article’s prediction. Isn’t this exactly what we have been saying all along. Everyone will know his name and this will be an amazing opportunity for him. His star is only now beginning to shine and electrify everyone on earth.

  7. Thanks a million Laurie!! I can’t begin to tell you how excited I got reading that article!! WE all know he will be fantastic in his movie but it is truly thrilling to read what others have to say!! I think I’m shaking!! 🙂
