Over 50,000 views–thank you!

In the wee hours of the morning, we rolled over more than 50,000 views here at the Armitage Effect since its inception in early February. Thank you all for your support and thank you, Richard Armitage, to inspiring us all!

Richard says, "Thank you for your support of our little community."

The most popular topic (after “Richard Armitage”) is a certain smouldering henchman from Nottingham. Guy is not at all suprised. Look at that smug smile on his gorgeous face!

Sir Guy somehow knew he'd come out on top. The cheeky bugger.

As to any suggestion it was due to his influence over fedoralady, Guy only gives a manly and disdain sniff and raises a dark brow as his hand steals to his sword . . . I really wouldn’t argue with him. I wouldn’t.

About fedoralady

I'm an LA native--Lower Alabama, that is. My husband of more than 30 years and I live here on a portion of my family's former farm with two gorgeous calicos and a handsome GSD mix. My background is art education, and over the years I've been a teacher, department store photographer, sales associate and a journalist. My husband, his business partner and I have Pecan Ridge Productions, a video production company, for which I shoot & edit video and stills and manage marketing. I also still write part-time for the local paper. I love movies, music, art, photography and books, and my tastes in all of them are eclectic.

  1. Congratulations Angie !

Our lovely Guy is hypersensitive and very easily offended but that’s why we love him sooooo much. My best day is my Guy Friday !!!

      • Oh, Guy, if we only had a chance to show you how much we really like you … Beyond the fact that you are the subject of more fanfic than all your cReAtor’s other characters, beyond the fact that you appear in so many fanvids (famous and infamous), you appear as “wallpaper” on countless women’s computers, possibly the most infamous (NSFW) image worldwide.

  2. Thank YOU Angie, for creating such a fantastic blog and giving us such great posts to chat about and selecting such glorious pictures to look at! πŸ™‚ Love the educational aspect of your blog too, the off topic posts and the Words of the Day posts!

  3. Well said everyone! Angie you have created a wonderful Blog! I think we all have a great time discussing the wonderful Mr. A! Congratulations!!

  4. This is fantastic, congratulations Angie! You know Richard really is special. I devoted a good bit of time over the weekend to trying to find if other popular actors have as many blogs and especially videos dedicated to them and can’t find anyone who comes even close. I thought Johnny Depp would have tons but no, the poor guy is an unknown compared to RA. There is something about this rather shy gentle man that just inspires fans to want to honor him. Unlike many fans I’ve known over the years the RA bunch (Army?) is far less intrusive and appears to have decidedly fewer “nutters” than other fandoms.

It’s people like you, Angie, who post flattering, but polite blogs with lovely but not embarassing photos who have helped him be more comfortable with his fans (although he says he hates the word.) Maybe we should form The Richard Armitage Appreciation Society so we can be RAAS instead of fans. LOL

    • I am up to 380,000 plus views now. πŸ˜‰ Would love to hit half a million by year’s end but that might not be possible. Never hurts to have a goal, right?

I truly have never investigated any other fandoms (never having been swept off my feet in the manner that Richard has done) so I wasn’t certain what it was like out there.

However, for a relatively unknown actor (a status that is changing rapidly) he really does seem to have an amazingly large number of blogs and fansites dedicated to him.

He is an extraordinary man in so many ways–the depth and versatility of his talent, his gentlemanly nature and the modesty and humility he displays, that wonderful sense of humor, keen intelligence, generous nature, amazing charisma and, oh yeah–he’s gorgeous, too. Quite simply the total package. I am quite proud to be an RA admirer (do you think that would work better for him than fan, which is, after all, short for “fanatic”? πŸ˜‰ ) as it indicates I do have the Good Taste Gene.

There are a few nutters–I’ve had my dealings with one of them who has targeted several of us–but by and large, RA supporters appear to be very bright, creative, kind, caring individuals who are quite sane (other than a certain mania that takes over from time to time due to the influence of a certain TDHBEW).
