About fedoralady

I'm an LA native--Lower Alabama, that is. My husband of more than 30 years and I live here on a portion of my family's former farm with two gorgeous calicos and a handsome GSD mix. My background is art education, and over the years I've been a teacher, department store photographer, sales associate and a journalist. My husband, his business partner and I have Pecan Ridge Productions, a video production company, for which I shoot & edit video and stills and manage marketing. I also still write part-time for the local paper. I love movies, music, art, photography and books, and my tastes in all of them are eclectic.

  1. Ros and Lucas made an incredible team and they just seemed to spark off one another!! 🙂 She was my favourite female character and I’ve got ALL of the Spooks DVD’s right from Series 1. When you watch the “Extras” on the S7 DVD’s and listen to the comments made, someone said that the Section D team they had in that series was the strongest they’d ever had on Spooks but I believe Ros and Lucas together (or should I say Hermione and Richard together?) is what made it strong. A 2008 article in “The Guardian” newspaper called Ros “the best female character on the TV.” So true, and I missed her so much after she left the show – just as Richard also said he did!! And we all know who was the best male character! Long live Luscious Lucas – SND!!! 🙂

  2. I loved the teasing between these two on the extras DVD Richard saying Hermione would just be getting out of bed and HN doing his makeup while still abroad the aircraft (it makes you realise what a small budget Spooks had for location shooting)

    • They have a wonderful rapport, those two. And we all know Hermione thinks RA is “sublime,” so she obviously has the Good Taste Gene on her side. 😀

  3. I’ve just watched this episode again, with the commentary on this time. One of the men commenting said Richard and Hermione looked like the golden couple and he’s absolutely right!

    • I have always liked Hermione as an actress and in interviews she seems like a really down-to-earth person, too. She and Richard really complemented each other onscreen–their looks, their acting skills, a natural chemistry between them. I hope they get to act together again.
