I managed to injure the middle finger of my right hand in another of those freakish accidents that happens to me–not broken, thank goodness, just very sore–and I need to let it rest a bit. So responding to the comments will have to wait. Hopefully it will be better tomorrow. In the meantime . . .
Our sweet Beau disappeared a while back, *sob* but here he is as the cutest part-bloodhound pup you’ve ever seen, enjoying the water in the whiskey barrel planter, accompanied by his brother Elvis. They always seem to prefer water from here much more than they do their water bowls. Dogs!
OK. I am prejudiced. But isn’t our Callie just gorgeous here?
Oh, those wide eyes. What a sweetie!
Elvis on that other southern icon–my late daddy’s old pickup truck.
I’ll be back tomorrow to catch up with you all. Nighty-night!
John Thornton was the leading role that really put Richard on the radar for many fans. Now few can imagine anyone else filling the Victorian mill owner’s shoes better than Richard Armitage did. Whilst The Hobbit hasn’t yet debuted on the big screen, I have no doubt Thorin will become his second iconic role, winning him scads of new fans worldwide. Here’s to two amazing chaRActers carefully crafted and filled with passion and purpose by our RA: Thornton and Thorin!!
Gemutlichkeit: (noun) warm friendliness; coziness, comfortableness. The word comes from German word gemutlich (comfortable, cozy). Earliest documented use: 1892.
If “troth” made me think of John Standring, this word made me think of a certain tall, lanky handsome stranger with a penchant for striped jumpers.
I think of the warmth of that dazzling smile with which he greets the vicar and Alice on their visit to Sleepy Cottage; of his sweet and sunny personality and how good it must be to cuddle with someone like Mr. Kennedy.
Harry exudes gemutlichkeit.
I can easily imagine a cold winter’s eve, curling up beneath a quilt on a comfy sofa in front of a cozy fire, head resting on one broad and reliable jumper-clad shoulder, listening to Harry read aloud in that delicious chocolate voice . . .
I hope you find some gemutlichkeit in your life this holiday season, my friends.
As Serv says in her reblog, I can’t keep up!
Those big, blue (when they aren’t green or grey or even khaki, that is) luminous eyes of Richard Armitage. With their lush fringe of lashes and bold masculine brows, those eyes alone can express a myriad of emotions and moods. They captivate, mesmerize and hypnotize. Call them Temptation Eyes . . . I do.
I ran this the other day in the “Lucas!” post.
It’s based on a cropped screencap from the “Lucas punches up Russian baddie Robinov in the pool” ep. I love those amazing masculine curves. In RA’s case not a contradiction. That gorgeous man definitely has BACK.
So here’s what I am planning to do: using a karaoke soundtrack for Sir Mix-a-Lot‘s hit Baby’s Got Back, I am going to rewrite the lyrics to celebrate the divine derriere of the most talented, gorgeous and delightful actor I happen to know of. And then I am going to record it. That will be the audio track for my Richie’s Got Back video. This part I can handle with the able technical assistance of my husband, who thinks I am a fruitcake but is all the same tickled to see me broadening my creative horizons.
The second part of this project? The visuals. This is where you, my readers, can help. If you have a particular favorite rearview or a screencap showing Mr. Armitage in action that showcases his erm—lush mounds, please share. If you have a link you want to share, that’s great!
If you want to send me link or pic via email, that’s fine, too. These can be images of RA in characters and as himself.
Obviously, this one is going to take more time than my usual side-show vid, but if all goes well, I would like to have it up for Christmas–a sort of pressie for you all. So if you can get back to me with your favorite RA bodacious bootie photos before the end of November, it would be so grand.
Thanks in advance for your help–I think this is going to be lots of fun! I am feeling quite cheeky of late, ladies. 😉
