Ouchies lead to another Cuteness Overload . . .

Standard

I managed to injure the middle finger of my right hand in another of those freakish accidents that happens to me–not broken, thank goodness, just very sore–and I need to let it rest a bit.  So responding to the comments will have to wait.  Hopefully it will be better tomorrow. In the meantime . . .

Our sweet Beau disappeared a while back, *sob* but here he is as the cutest part-bloodhound pup you’ve ever seen, enjoying the water in the whiskey barrel planter, accompanied by his brother Elvis. They always seem to prefer water from here much more than they do their water bowls. Dogs!

OK. I am prejudiced. But isn’t our Callie just gorgeous here?

Oh, those wide eyes. What a sweetie!

Elvis on that other southern icon–my late daddy’s old pickup truck.

I’ll be back tomorrow to catch up with you all. Nighty-night!

About fedoralady

I'm an LA native--Lower Alabama, that is. My husband of more than 30 years and I live here on a portion of my family's former farm with two gorgeous calicos and a handsome GSD mix. My background is art education, and over the years I've been a teacher, department store photographer, sales associate and a journalist. My husband, his business partner and I have Pecan Ridge Productions, a video production company, for which I shoot & edit video and stills and manage marketing. I also still write part-time for the local paper. I love movies, music, art, photography and books, and my tastes in all of them are eclectic.

  1. Dang! So sorry about the finger. Still, I know what you mean about freakish accidents. I am usually the one in the ER mentally screaming, Why does the weird stuff happen to me? I hope you mend quickly and completely.

Love the pet pictures. Have you considered starting a pet photography business? Your portfolio alone would be enough to bring you many customers. I’d love to be able to send cards with a picture of Lucky this year, but I need to persuade a friend to visit and take some photos.

  2. what happens to your fingers? I hope you feel better soon, I’m sorry for your finger. Your pets are adorable (Beau was a treasure).

    • I caught it in the grill of a falling box fan (which fortunately was not operating) and bent it backwards. Beau was such a handsome dog and a real sweetheart. We do not know what happened. We searched high and low for him. I have wondered if someone stole him. *sigh* I do treasure the memories of him and all our lovely pets.

  3. So sorry you have another ouchie to hamper you, Sis. Praying it is better by tomorrow. Yes, your babies are adorable, indeed. Pets are such a wonderful blessing.
