About fedoralady

I'm an LA native--Lower Alabama, that is. My husband of more than 30 years and I live here on a portion of my family's former farm with two gorgeous calicos and a handsome GSD mix. My background is art education, and over the years I've been a teacher, department store photographer, sales associate and a journalist. My husband, his business partner and I have Pecan Ridge Productions, a video production company, for which I shoot & edit video and stills and manage marketing. I also still write part-time for the local paper. I love movies, music, art, photography and books, and my tastes in all of them are eclectic.

  1. Are those strands of grey I can detect in the last picture? It makes him even more appealing. I hope he’s going to be allowed his natural colour in the years to come and won’t be forced into extreme dyeing, so aging and wierd after a time.

    • He’s definitely go grey coming in. I think he takes after his mother in terms of hair, too. I hate to see older actors with shoe-polish black hair that is so obviously dyed. It actually ages them even more.

    • Lynne, take a look at the pictures from the “Hood Academy” — I think you’ll see it’s a lovely brown, leaning toward auburn.

      • His hair color has always reminded me of Benny’s with a big more auburn in RA’s. And Benny is greying now. Both his mom and dad had beautiful white hair so I am looking forward to my own silver fox. 😉

    • LOL! As has been said, it appears that when he was younger, it was reddish-brown–the auburn highlights really evident out in the sun. I think it has naturally darkened somewhat with the passing years, although never as dark as seen in Spooks or RH. But even with the dark dye in certain light you could see the reddish highlights shining through.

  2. Philippa Boyens was quoted today on RANet as saying that Richard Armitage “exuded decency, strength, and goodness. He has great depth as an actor, he will only get better.”. I so love hearing such praise of RA from his co-workers, who had a chance over time to really get to know him in person. But then, we know what she said already. Still, I love seeing it in print. It makes me think that I’m not terribly nuts.

  3. The pictures are just gorgeous, Angie! The last one is really killing me, especially the blue eyes abd the little bit grayish hair. What a beautiful man he is – and always will be!
