I watched Downton Abbey tonight along with Faboamanto and RAblogger at Twitter. Let’s just say none of us can say we actually enjoyed this episode. When the Dowager Duchess, played by the superb Maggie Smith, loses her customary aplomb, it is time to break out the handkerchiefs, boys and girls.
So I thought I would close out the servings of RA SmoRgAsbord with something a bit more upbeat. Smiles, everyone–smiles!
You knew Harry would be in the mix! Nothing can lift one’s spirits quicker than a Kennedy grin.
Long eyelashes and stubble. And that smile. Lucas, I am your slave.
What lovely mood elevators these are. Still, in the last one of Guy and Meg, all the manips I’ve seen leave Isabella intact in the background. Would it not be preferable to remove her via PhotoShop? Or would that be really difficult?
It wouldn’t be too hard. I thought about that when I posted it. I should take the evil bunny-boiler sis out of the pic. 😉
I cried too! My dad says that he knows someone who’s seen all of the episodes and the last 90 seconds of the last show will throw everyone for a loop! It is a great show. It’s sucked us all in. I KNOW they’re all characters but I couldn’t sleep last night because I kept thinking about it. I worried about how Lord G. would be able to live with himself. Would Lady G. every forgive him. Will Bates screw up, kill his evil cell mate and stay in jail! Wouldn’t it be great if Richard had a part in this!!
It’s a testament to the actors when we come to care enough that certain plot twists simply throw us for an awful loop (Guy, Lucas, Porter . . .) I kept thinking about it all, too.
And yes, I agree that RA would be wonderful in a role. He’d look spiffing in period dress and we know what a good actor he is. 😉
Richard could fit in a bit of Downton Abbey before he goes back to NZ if they’re shooting over the next month or two. They just have to write the part and make him a reasonable offer.
Yep, it’s definitely doable.
Except his agent was quoted as saying Richard was out of the country (in that article in a Scottish newspaper). He’s probably in the vicinity of some snowy mountains, I’d guess.
I hope he’s getting to do some skiing as he seems to love it so much.
I am glad to know I am not the only one who cried. I try not to let my husband see me, but it don’t take much for me to cry. I still have yet to view my new dvds yet. JP and CM soon maybe we have finish The Good Life yet.
Someone at Twitter posted, “I don’t know what’s going on with Downton Abbey, but Twister is sobbing and curled up in a fetal position.” That was pretty much the case.
