I can easily imagine lots of hugs and pats on the back and happy smiles being shared. Richard said he couldn’t wait to get back to New Zealand, and now he has his wish. The Hobbit family is back together again, with ten weeks of hard work ahead of them. I know shooting some of those final scenes (you know, the ones that are going to send us hunting for Kleenex in the final film) will be tough on them both physically and emotionally, too.
Godspeed, cast and crew as you weave more movie magic for us. I hope you make more wonderful memories to carry forth with you when you say farewell to New Zealand . . . although I understand a certain TDHBEW is thinking of building a house there.
