Happy Guyday Friday! S3 Guy *thud*

I love Guy in all his incarnations, but it’s S3 Guy who remains my fave and it’s how I envision him when the dark knight drops in for a friendly visit (or to raid the fridge or pantry). His performance was just amazing—an arc of operatic grandeur that captured us from those first boozy stumbles out the door of Locksley Manor to that final heart-rending scene in Nottingham Castle.  All the anger and angst, despair and self-loathing, the proud, sleek confidence regained, the cat-and-mouse scheming, the despair, the cynicism, the tenderness, the heroism, the determination to become a better man.  WOW.

All that and he looked like THIS.  How could we look away?

About fedoralady

I'm an LA native--Lower Alabama, that is. My husband of more than 30 years and I live here on a portion of my family's former farm with two gorgeous calicos and a handsome GSD mix. My background is art education, and over the years I've been a teacher, department store photographer, sales associate and a journalist. My husband, his business partner and I have Pecan Ridge Productions, a video production company, for which I shoot & edit video and stills and manage marketing. I also still write part-time for the local paper. I love movies, music, art, photography and books, and my tastes in all of them are eclectic.

  1. Sir Hot is in the house! I adore Fridays! He was sheer perfection in series 3, a joy to watch! My heart soared and cried along with his! Such a beautiful character who finally regained his compassion. I must admit this always how I imagine Sir Guy whenever I read anything about him!

    • Yes he is!!! It’s how I always visualize Guy, too. Tossing back that glorious mane of dark hair . . . the jangle of his spurs and the tempting glimpse of flesh through the opening of his Floppy Black Pirate Shirt , , , glorious

  2. I loved him in season 3–it seemed he was working so hard to become a better man and realize all the things he thought he’d lost. Which is why I still can’t watch the last episode again.

  3. The series should have been called “Guy of Gisborne” instead of “Robin Hood”, then it all would have made a lot more sense, really.
Can’t never have enough pictures of Sir Guy – keep them coming! Thank you!

    • Yes, especially in that final season it was Sir Guy front and center who captured our heart and imaginations. Even some of the Robin fans found themselves rooting for the dark knight. *sigh* Glad you enjoy!!

  4. As you know Angie S3 is my fav Guy and I have just come back from hols today and find these gorgeous photos thanks so much. Having to leave the sunny seaside isn’t half as bad now lol
