He even makes cobwebs sexy. Good grief.

Come here, big boy, and I’ll show you how we can burn together . . .

I think it’s just possible Richard may be even sexier in the second movie than he was in the first . . . something about this slightly darker and more dangerous Thorin that is tripping off all kinds of bells and whistles and punching me right smack dab in the old solar plexus . . . and I love the tousled bedhead look with a few cobwebs tossed in. Oh, yeah . . . just keep the giant spiders out of the mix.

About fedoralady

I'm an LA native--Lower Alabama, that is. My husband of more than 30 years and I live here on a portion of my family's former farm with two gorgeous calicos and a handsome GSD mix. My background is art education, and over the years I've been a teacher, department store photographer, sales associate and a journalist. My husband, his business partner and I have Pecan Ridge Productions, a video production company, for which I shoot & edit video and stills and manage marketing. I also still write part-time for the local paper. I love movies, music, art, photography and books, and my tastes in all of them are eclectic.

  1. I think darker, angstier Thorin is going to be more compelling than ever, judging by what we’ve seen so far. My solar plexus is taking a knock too. 😉

    • NO kidding. That look he throws back at Bilbo, “Master Burglar, that’s why YOU are here . . .” His reply to Bard. “I have the ONLY right.” Those looks he gives Thranduil . . . WHOOOAAA. And of course, “If there be fire, then we shall all burn tonight.” The fiyah is cracklin’ HOT!

      • I am thinking the same thing, Arkie, either he’s just cast a spell over us (which is entirely possible) or they made some adjustments to his makeup and more of Richard Armitage is shining through.

    • He’s so sexy here . . . and you and Sir Peter are in good company, as he apparently hates spiders, too. I don’t mind the little ones, but I remember reading LOTR and being terrified of the ones in there!
