This Tweet showed up today and I was thrilled to see it (Amazon, why didn’t you alert me as promised that The Hobbit was now available for pre-order? As dedicated a customer as I am, I feel a bit disappointed. But Ali at Richard Armitage Net didn’t let me down!)
“Links to the Hobbit DVD from Amazon.com here bit.ly/Va0OSC released March 19 #richardarmitage

Of course, if you order through the link provided by Ali, a portion of your purchase will go to Richard’s designated charities.
Yeah, I know a lot of people are waiting until October to get the extended edition, but as someone who has only seen Thorin once on the big screen, I am shelling out the bucks now so I can enjoy him six months sooner, in Blu-ray, on the flat screen. Pause. Rewind. Slo-mo . . . Pause. No distractions from 3D or 48 FPS.
Really soak up every moment of Richard being majestic, brooding, fierce, bad-ass and beautiful onscreen.
Besides, I saved so much money by missing those extra trips to the theatre, I’m coming out ahead even if I do break down and buy the extended version, too–right?
Oh, humor me.
I want to see some serious hair acting! (courtesy of RA Net, my editing)
Yeah, I am envious of the camera. *sigh* Oh, the INTENSITY. (courtesy of RANet)
I just can’t wait.
