About fedoralady

I'm an LA native--Lower Alabama, that is. My husband of more than 30 years and I live here on a portion of my family's former farm with two gorgeous calicos and a handsome GSD mix. My background is art education, and over the years I've been a teacher, department store photographer, sales associate and a journalist. My husband, his business partner and I have Pecan Ridge Productions, a video production company, for which I shoot & edit video and stills and manage marketing. I also still write part-time for the local paper. I love movies, music, art, photography and books, and my tastes in all of them are eclectic.

  1. Oh, yes, please 😉 and maybe you could give me a hug to warm me up, too? It’s sooooo cold 😦

      • And those new photos from NZ! I’m seriously loving them, especially where Richard has his arm around those 2 lucky ladies 🙂

It’s 1.05 am Sunday and It really is very cold, so I’m off to snuggle under the doona. I finished LOTN last night and have started on “Persuasion” again 🙂

        ‘night, ‘night

  2. I had a dream with him the other night! My first ever proper feature-length dream! And just my luck- I forgot what it was about the moment I opened my eyes! I knew he was in the dream, I knew we were in some kind of bank together (yeah I know very romantic, huh?) but couldn’t remember anything else! That picture above is one of my all time favourites, I just want to hug him and never let go for the rest of my life. 🙂 (joking!)

      • That’s wonderful, Judit!! Even if you can’t remember it, as happens for me on the rare occasion I do dream of him, it’s such a beautiful feeling on waking up. I have a smile on my face. 🙂

  3. Would anyone in their right mind pass up the chance of that? Not me for sure! I can’t begin to imagine what being hugged by him would feel like or have him put his arm around you like he did to these lucky ladies, but I think it would be QUITE unforgettable!! *sigh*

  4. (WordPress is hating me again today)

so I had to come home with only half of what I needed!!!.

And why can’t I access that darned video? I’ve tried several times last night and today in YouTube and as a part of Frenz’s blog post to no avail.

Could someone please tell me what I can do?

    • Sorry you are feeling bad, KG. Do you have RealPlayer downloaded to your computer? I have trouble watching anything on YT or any place else due to my less-than-stellar connection–everything has to buffer. So if there is something I want to watch (typically tied to RA for some reason), I use RealPlayer and download the vids to my laptop. It takes a while, but once I do it, I’ve got it and I can watch it with no problem. It’s easy to install and easy to use and FREE.

      • I’ve somehow lost RealPlayer, still have the library of vids I’ve already downloaded, thank goodness, but the “download” tag doesn’t pop up above the video when I move the cursor over it. 😦
When we were having problems earlier in the month, our IT guy switched us from Internet Explorer to Firefox, because IE was clogging up the computer and slowing it down, now I’m thinking that’s the problem with RP. I’ll have to contact them to see what they say. I can’t live without it, being able to download my favourite vids is great.

        • Hi, Mezz. I’ve always used Firefox and RealPlayer together but you have to do a little fiddling with any of the newer versions of Firefox – since about version 5. Give me a few minutes and I’ll try to remember what you need to do 😉

Thanks, Angie – I went to bed just after I posted my earlier comment to see if I could fix my fuzzy head 🙂

            • Sorry, Mezz, forgot all about this. I’ll try to remember in the morning.

It’s 4.45am Monday and I haven’t been to sleep yet! But I’ll try again now.
