Richard appears to be ready and waiting for some celebratory cake.
The one-week anniversary of my blog as of later tonight, that is. I think things have gotten off to a great start. You always have some trepidation befor starting this sort of project. It’s like throwing a party and worrying that no one will come.
Well, you have come and given the present of your comments, and for this I am very grateful.
These guys dropped in to celebrate the occasion with us.

Re. the “waiting for celebratory cake”, if I’d known, I would have baked the infamous dark chocolate cake (with cabernet reduction). Believe me, with all the healthy eating, the running, and the gym, plus gardening and housework, darling Richard could afford a bite of this decadent delight.
Thanks! And I am sure Richard would have enjoyed every morsel of it. I can see him now, that tongue darting out to catch the chocolate crumbs (ooh, he might need help getting them out of his beard?!) that twinkle of appreciation in those beautiful blue eyes. š
