The press conference pics are now up at www.richardarmitagenet.com, if you haven’t checked them out yet. Gorgeous.
I thought Richard Armitage looked absolutely terrific at the The Hobbit press conference in his shirt/vest/tie combo. As someone commented here, I do feel a sort of Simon Baker-as-Patrick Jane (The Mentalist) vibe going on here. And I like it. And it’s always a pleasure to see him so animated. The crinkles, the smiles, talking with his hands. As for the Maori greeting . . . *thud*

THat Maori greeting pic must be one of my favourite pictures of all time! It’s sweet beyond belief! Fabulous fanart! I haven’t seen the last pic before (still a lot to catch up on!) .. Beautiful. Just gorgeous.
I cropped that last one in from a photo of Richard and Martin together.and the Maori greeting is unbelievably sweet and swoonworthy *sigh*
I cannot express how much I love that look.
Me, too, absolutely. Dig it! 😀
GREAT PICTURES!! I had seen them, but, as always, you’ve made them ten times better. I think this one was my favourite outfit of the whole week, he looks incredible!! Like a fan said on facebook, “who are you and where is Richard? Loving this new guy”. I couldn’t agree more 😉
Glad you liked. 😀 Did we even think there could be such a thing as an improved RA? But with this new fashion direction, he’s better than ever! And we get to enjoy it all . . . *sigh*
And boy are we enjoying it!! 😀 Although I have a confession to make… I miss the beard so badly! Can’t wait till they start filmimg again and Richard grows it back, another thing for me to look forward to… 😉
Some people on Twitter think he’s already growing it back . . .
If they ‘re resuming filming in May(?) he will need to make sure he has a healthy growth by then. Better to have to trim his beard than not have enough to look like his Thorin one.
Yeah, it will need to match. Otherwise the Beard Unit will have to work overtime. 😉
To be sure it grows in well, he’ll have to stop shaving at the end of February and start trimming. Richard seems to have a good rate of hair growth, so two months should give him back the Thorin length and then some.
Yeah, it seems to grow pretty rapidly.
Really??? *big happy dance* Yaaaay!! *…aaaand… she’s off! Gone daydreaming…* 😉
The sweet smile on his face during the Maori greeting is just so….so…*thud*…words fail me. It would have to be one of my favourite little clips of him ever.
I know. The sweetness, the genuineness in that smile–it just gets me every time I see it. I get a lump in my throat.
To touch “third eye”s with him would be beyond delightful. His smile gets to me every time, too.
He does with such–sweetness and enthusiasm, that greeting. And the smile . . .
I’m feeling more than a little overwhelmed these days with all the wonderful pictures and videos we have been seeing. It’s been so long since we have had this many – or is this indeed more than we’ve seen of him EVER? At times I have felt elated and almost beside myself with joy while at other times I’ve felt quite emotional – even moved to tears. “Our” boy is finally in the limelight and getting more attention, I believe, than he has ever had before. He truly deserved it and can I say I’M LOVING IT!!! ( Sorry, I felt the shouting was warranted there. 😉 )
Have we ever seen so many of his smiles, heard so much of his laughter, or in our cases (I speak for myself) ever swooned, drooled, sighed and guh’d so much as we have done lately? He also seems to be drinking in the whole experience too which is really heart-warming. I’ve lost count of the hours I’ve spent on my PC searching out everything I can about what he has done, is doing or about to do. I can’t say all this is helping my arthritis but let me tell you it is worth every ache. I just want to shout from the roof tops “Look out world! He’s arrived and soon you will all see what we have been admiring all these years”. Do you think they are finally realizing what they’ve been missing? 😉 Just when you think you couldn’t possibly love him more, all this happens and we are enchanted all over again. Makes me a bit teary-eyed.
